The purpose of the Arsenal East Connector project is to reduce congestion and improve access to the U.S. Army’s Redstone Arsenal from I-565. It is anticipated that the project would also improve traffic conditions along Bob Wallace Avenue and Patton Road and other area roads in Huntsville, Alabama.
A Public Information Meeting was held on September 27, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Morris P8 School Auditorium (4801 Bob Wallace Ave. SW Huntsville, AL 35805). The meeting provided the public an opportunity to participate in the transportation planning process of the proposed project for the Arsenal East Connector project from I-565 to Redstone Arsenal Gate 10 (Patton Road Gate). Representatives from the City of Huntsville and the Alabama Department of Transportation were available at displays to discuss the proposed project and answer any questions. Comment sheets were made available for those who would like to submit written statements. The public comment period for this project is now closed.
